I wanted to learn Japanese in a more intensive program.

Jil from 2012

What were your goals in attending the KCP program?

To learn Japanese in a more intensive program than one at the school I attend in America.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The most productive part of the program was that the classes were held entirely in Japanese, and that my classmates mostly spoke little to no English, which forced me to really try to understand everyone around me. The least interesting part of the program was the extracurricular courses we were required to take.

How satisfied were you with the teachers and classroom environment?

Satisfied

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

Practicing conversation

Testimonials

I loved meeting new people in my classes and being able to practice Japanese almost every day. I loved living in Japan as if I were Japanese and absorbing the culture.
