Yamanashi school trip was very fun and educational!

Emilyann from Summer Short 2019

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

Yamanashi school trip was very fun and educational! The calligraphy and sushi making activities were engaging and a good way to learn about the culture.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

In class time was utilized effectively. Teachers were very open and available for questions. All assignments were relevant and beneficial for learning. There was nothing not productive.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

Drill practice, games, conversations/dialogues, English support (great resource!!)

Any suggestions for improving class activities or materials?

Forcing us to use the new vocabulary during homework or conversation practice would be helpful. I was learning a lot of vocabulary everyday but couldn't use them effectively. Practicing with them more outside of kanji time in the classroom would be great.

Testimonials

I selected this program because it allows me to use my student loans to attend, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to have this experience. I also wanted a challenge and to improve my fluency as fast as possible. The pace at KCP is challenging but helps me focus.
